Growth
I’ve spent around $132 on Meta ads in total, bringing in 58 new subscribers—which works out to $2.28 per sub.
For most newsletters, that’d be a solid CPA. But for me? Not quite. Since this newsletter is still in its early days, I need to get it under $1.00 to make it sustainable.
As an update, I launched two new Meta ads on January 16:
The verdict? The meme flopped (so far at least), but the text ad is pulling its weight and getting better by the day. Right now, its CPA is sitting at about $1.50, and with a little more time for Meta to optimize—plus a few tweaks on my end—I’m confident it’ll drop below that $1.00 mark.
I’m planning to give Meta a few more days to do its thing before rolling out another iteration.
Monetization
So far, I’ve earned $6 for two newsletter sponsorships from Beehiiv’s ad network and have another $10 pending from Sparkloop’s affiliate network.
